A new patched release of Odyssey Alpha is available!:
Sidearm - Disruptor Perk Fix:
The Disruptor ultimate perk on the Sidearm now functions properly, dealing the intended effects on enemies when activated.
Shotgun - Snare Shot Perk Fix:
The Snare Shot ultimate perk on the Shotgun now functions as expected, effectively slowing down enemies when hit.
Combat & Weapon Changes:
Shield Feedback System:
Dealing damage to an enemy's shield now briefly creates a visible outline around their shield. When the shield is broken, this visual effect is removed, giving clearer feedback on shield status.
Weapon Energy Adjustments:
The Shotgun and Sidearm now gain more weapon energy per hit:
Shotgun: Increased from 2 energy per hit to 3 energy.
Sidearm: Increased from 1 energy per hit to 1.5 energy.
This change should improve the energy economy for both weapons and make them more rewarding to use in combat.
Training Bay Updates:
Hovering Platforms:
Platforms in the Training Bay now hover above the ground, removing the need for supports. This resolves potential stuck spots and improves clarity in the area, making it easier to navigate and practice without interruption.
Enemy Difficulty Updates:
Enemies in the Training Bay now feature distinct models per difficulty level.
Hard Difficulty:
Hard enemies now move faster and deal significantly more damage, with an increased rate of fire. This ensures a more challenging experience for advanced players.
Animated Hover Enemies:
Enemies and their hitboxes are now animated to simulate a "hover" effect, enhancing immersion and matching the floating nature of the Training Bay platforms.
Revamped Title Screen:
The title screen has been completely redesigned, featuring:
Clearer Buttons: Simplified and polished button designs for easier navigation.
Splash Logo: A new splash logo has been added, bringing a modern and immersive introduction to the game.
Background: The background has been updated with improved visuals, enhancing the overall presentation and feel of the title screen.
